The Katy Trail

The Katy Trail  is a 237 mile trail stretching across most of the state of Missouri.  The eastern half follows Lewis and Clark’s journey up the Missouri River.  It is the longest “rails-to-trail” project, formerly the MKT rail line.  The Missouri–Kansas–Texas Railroad or MKT was incorporated May 23, 1870. In its earliest days the MKT was commonly referred to as “the K-T”, which evolved into “the Katy”.

The Katy Trail. 230 miles of bliss with no cars from the confluence of the Missouri and Mississippi River to Clinton, MO.
